HACKBERRY, Louisiana — A fatal crash along Louisiana Highway 27 has claimed the life of a driver in Calcasieu Parish, according to Louisiana State Police Troop D.
Authorities say the incident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. near Solley Baker Road in Hackberry. Investigators reported that William Rester was driving a 2018 Toyota C-HR northbound when the crash took place under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of the collision, where Rester sustained critical injuries. Despite efforts to provide aid, he was pronounced dead, officials confirmed.
